Terms and Conditions

Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully. They are designed to establish a clear understanding between Crinion Sensory Rooms Ltd (referred to as "the Supplier") and you (the "Client") to ensure transparency, fairness, and the avoidance of misunderstandings.
Terms and conditions are subject to change. Clients will be notified of any updates. Payment of the initial deposit constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
1. Scope of Works
The Supplier agrees to design, supply, and/or install sensory room equipment and related products as described in the approved quotation (“the Works”). This may include sensory equipment, accessories, furnishings, and installation or fitting services.
2. Quotations
2.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise.
2.2 Quotations are based on the information provided by the Client at the time of issue. Any variation may result in an adjusted price.
2.3 Acceptance of a quotation must be confirmed in writing or by payment of the required deposit.
2.4 Quotations are based on current supplier rates. After 30 days, pricing may be subject to revision depending on any changes from our suppliers.
3. Deposits and Payments
3.1 A non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total quoted amount is required to secure an order.
3.2 The remaining balance shall be payable as follows:
50% upon commencement of manufacturing,
Remaining Balance upon completion, prior to handover.
3.3 For supply-only orders, full payment must be made before dispatch.
3.4 Payments are due upon installation. Late payments may incur a late payment fee.
4. Design Features and Accessories
4.1 The Supplier will design sensory spaces tailored to the Client’s requirements and space limitations alongside the Client/ Therapist involved in the equipment chosen.
4.2 Client will be provided with a Visual Representation of the works (3D Drawings). The Client is responsible for ensuring the Drawings are suitable to their needs. The Supplier takes no responsibility if the end product based on Drawings does not suit the user’s needs.
4.3 All design concepts remain the intellectual property of the Supplier until full payment is received.
4.4 Drawings are only a Visual Representation of the Final Design. Some details may be changed to suit the manufacturing and fitting process.
4.5 Minor design adjustments may be made to suit site conditions, availability, or safety requirements.
4.6 Design changes requested after commencement of works may incur additional charges, which must be agreed by both parties in writing (email or message).
4.7 Where a client has provided their own measurements for the works, the client is responsible for ensuring accurate measurements of all appliances, radiators etc, prior to design finalisation.
5. Site Access and Responsibility
5.1 The Client shall ensure that the site is accessible, safe, and ready for installation on the agreed date.
5.2 Delays due to site inaccessibility, building works, or other Client-side factors may incur additional costs.
5.3 The Supplier will take reasonable care to avoid damage but is not responsible for existing site defects or pre-existing conditions.
5.4 The Supplier will take reasonable care to avoid damage to floors, walls and doors, but is not responsible for damages that occur during the installation process, including damage to paintwork. Due to the nature of the Installation process, it is inevitable that Wall Paneling may mark the paintwork above finished height.
5.5 Removal of Fitted Products will result in exposed permanent damage to walls (including but not limited to, screw holes, glue marks). The Supplier takes no responsibility for damage upon removal of products.
6. Delays and Cancellations
6.1 If the Supplier must delay works due to unforeseen circumstances, notice will be provided as soon as practicable.
6.2 The Supplier shall not be liable for delays caused by weather, transport disruption, third-party contractors, or events beyond reasonable control.
6.3 Cancellations by the Client after materials have been ordered or works scheduled may incur costs equivalent to expenses incurred and lost work time.
7. Aftercare and Maintenance
7.1 The Supplier will provide guidance for the use, maintenance, and cleaning of sensory room equipment. Failure to follow aftercare advice may void any goodwill repairs or touch-ups.
7.2 Adult supervision is required at all times when using any sensory equipment, furniture, or accessories supplied or installed by the Supplier.
7.3 The Client is responsible for ensuring that equipment is used in accordance with the Supplier’s instructions and for regularly checking for wear, damage, or hazards.
7.4 Maintenance beyond the warranty period may be available as a separate service agreement.
7.5 The Client is responsible for ensuring safe and proper use of all sensory room installations and equipment.
8. Liability
8.1 The Supplier’s liability is limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of defective goods or services supplied.
8.2 The Supplier is not liable for consequential loss, business interruption, or damages arising from misuse or neglect.
8.3 The Supplier is not responsible for damage caused by footwear, dye transfer, or other staining from clothing or materials introduced by users.
8.4 This agreement does not exclude or limit liability for personal injury resulting from negligence on the part of the Supplier.
9. Warranties
9.1 All equipment supplied is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty (12 months) against defects in materials or workmanship.
9.2 Warranties are void if equipment is modified, relocated, or repaired by an unauthorised party.
9.3 Warranties do not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, or damage caused by footwear, biting, scratching, dye transfer, or inappropriate cleaning products.
10. Client-Supplied Materials
10.1 Where the Client provides any materials or equipment, the Supplier accepts no responsibility for their suitability, performance, or compliance with safety standards.
10.2 Any delay or defect caused by such materials is the Client’s responsibility.
11. Delayed Fitting and Storage
11.1 If the Client requests a delay in installation after goods are ready, the Supplier may charge storage fees.
11.2 Title to goods passes only upon full payment, even if goods are stored pending fitting.
12. Insurance and Damage
12.1 The Supplier shall maintain adequate public and product liability insurance.
12.2 The Client shall ensure that their own insurance covers property and third-party risks during installation.
12.3 The Supplier is not responsible for accidental damage unless caused by proven negligence.
13. Fabric and Equipment Upkeep
13.1 All fabrics, padding, and sensory materials must be cleaned and maintained in accordance with provided care instructions.
13.2 The Supplier is not responsible for damage, discolouration, or deterioration caused by shoes, dye transfer, biting, picking, scratching, or inappropriate cleaning products.
13.3 The Client acknowledges that sensory environments are subject to heavy use and must be maintained accordingly.
13.4 Failure to maintain materials properly may void warranties and increase safety risks.
14. Fabric and Upholstery Liability
14.1 The Supplier uses durable, high-quality materials designed for sensory environments; however, no material is fully bite-proof, pick-proof, or damage-proof.
14.2 The Supplier shall not be liable for tears, punctures, bite marks, scratches, or other damage resulting from user behaviour, sensory exploration, or accidental misuse.
14.3 The Client accepts full responsibility for monitoring usage, supervising users, and repairing or replacing materials that become damaged over time due to such activity.
14.4 The Supplier may offer repair or replacement services at standard rates, but this is not covered under warranty.
15. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations where such failure results from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to strikes, natural disasters, or supply chain disruption.
16. Ownership and Risk
Ownership of goods passes to the Client only after full payment. Risk passes upon delivery or installation.
